Mo's Challenge #182

Pretty Pastel Palette

I hope you all had fun with our combined blog hop last week! It certainly was a joy
creating with Mo's new images!
Franz is our hostess for Mo's Challenge this week, and she wants us to use
 pastel hues on our projects.
I always have a hard time using the paler colors...I tend to go for bright and bold when I color.
With that said, here is my card for this week! I think you'd call it pastel!

I really love this little girl! She is one of a set of three, each one as cute as the other. I couldn't pick a favorite!
I usually like to paper-piece the dresses, but this time I just created a tiny pattern using a Copic marker.

Images: "Three for Tea" from Mo's Digital Pencil, Stamped sentiment from SU!

Tools: Cuttlebug with Nestibilities and Marianne dies, SU! Guava stamp pad, Nellie Snellen
embossing rose leaf punch set, mounting tape, Tacky tape

papers: SU! Guava and Vanilla, Neenah white, Digital DP

Embellishments: Satin ribbon, Flowers from WOC

I hope you'll join us this week in Mo's Challenge! Just use one or more of Mo's images
in your project and enter for a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate to Mo's Digital Pencil.

Thanks for dropping in!

The image I used is the adorable "Sunshine." I'm sure you'll agree that he's very cute, as are the other five images that Mo has created just for this Hop! I want them all, and you will, too!

Mo's Challenge #180

I'm Flying!

The theme for Mo's Challenge this week is "Things With Wings."
Sounds like fun to me!
I chose "Teacup Fairy" for my card. I printed the image four times,
then colored and cut out
different parts of the image and layered them to give it a 3-D look.

This is an angled view that shows the layering.

Here's a straight on view.

Tools: Copics, Gold gel pen, Cuttlebug with Embossing folder, and Oval Nestibilities, Nellie Snellen embossing leaf punch set, Mounting tape, Craft knife

Papers: SU! Coral, Blush, and Vanilla, Neenah white, The Paper Studio DP, Metallic gold CS

Embellishments: Satin ribbon, Hat pin, Beads, Teapot charm, Flat-backed pearl garland,
 Flowers from WOC

Check out the rest out the Design Teams' creations on Mo's Challenge Blog! We'd love to have you make something wonderful using one of Mo's images following the "Things With Wings' theme then enter for a chance to win  $5.00 gift certificate to Mo's Digital Pencil!

Hope to see you there!
Elaine

Next week we're having a huge Blog Hop with the combined Dream Team and Challenge Team!

Mo's Challenge #179

The Fabric of Our Lives

Tracy is our hostess for Mo's Challenge this week, and she's asked that we use fabric on our cards.
I've had the idea for a card like this ever since I found some quilt squares left over from a Christmas stocking project from years ago. I kind of like the idea and will definitely be making similar cards in the future.
The best part is that I've got a start on my Christmas cards!

Try as I might, I just couldn't get a good picture of this card. My camera does a better job with natural sunlight, but it's been pretty gloomy here lately.

Tools: Copics, White gel pen, Cuttlebug with  Embossing folder and Nestibilities, Mounting tape, VersaMark pad, Gold embossing powder, Heat gun

Papers: SU! Garden Green and Real Red, Neenah white

Embellishments: Quilt square, Silk ribbon, Pearl brad

I just know that you'll come up with a new and unusual way to use fabric on your card or project this week! Just be sure to use one of Mo's images and enter the challenge for a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate to her shop!

So glad you stopped by!
