Mo's Challenge # 163

Favorite Color Combination

I have many 'favorites' when it comes to color combinations, but I'm always a sucker
for the warmer shades of reds, oranges, and yellows.
This card uses Mo's adorable little cheerleader "Gimme a Bee" which,
like many of Mo's images, is also available as a little black girl.

Images: "Gimme a Bee" from Mo's Digital Pencil, Digital sentiment.

Tools: Copics, Prismacolor pencil, MS border punch,
 Fine black marker, Mounting tape

Papers: SU! Summer Sun and Only Orange, Neenah white, Basic Grey DP

Embellishments:  Grosgrain ribbon, Beads, Bee charm

Come up with something wonderful using one of Mo's images
and your favorite colors and enter Mo's Challenge for a chance to win
a $5.00 gift certificate to Mo's Digital Pencil.

I love all colors and can't wait to see your favorite combinations.
Who knows...I may even discover a new 'favorite' combo!

Thanks for dropping in!

Mo's Challenge #162

Don't Be Square!

Happy Thanksgiving to all those in the USA!

The theme for Mo's Challenge this week is "Anything But Square." Since I never make square cards, I guess I could have just gone with my regular  5" X 7" rectangular cards, but I felt that might be cheating! LOL!

Instead, I went with a card shaped like a kite and used Mo's cute "Kite" image."
The 'kite' dimensions are 5 1/2" X 8" and it opens along the upper left hand side.
The 'tail' is made with baker's twine and scraps of DP.

Images: "Kite" from Mo's Digital Pencil, SU! stamped sentiment

Tools: Copics, Cuttlebug with Nestibilities die, SU! oval punches, Xacto knife

Papers: SU! Pacific Point, Bazzil textured CS, Neenah white, Basic Grey DP

Embellishments: Baker's twine

Now it's your turn to make a card or project using one or more of Mo's wonderful images
and enter Mo's Challenge for a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mo's Challenge # 161

Let's Chill!

Mo's Challenge this week is "Let's Chill!"
I suppose that can be interpreted at least two ways.....it could be something that
shows a relaxed attitude or something to do with cold weather. I chose to go with the second meaning because the weather here is getting a bit chilly!

My card uses Mo's sweet "Winifred" which is a great image to paper-piece.
I haven't done this technique for quite some time, and I really enjoyed it.
I put a new blade in my Xacto knife, and it made a huge difference in the ease of cutting!
I hit the organdy ribbon with a heat gun to make it curl and age it slightly.

Mo's Challenge #160

"C"is for........

That's Mo's Challenge for this week! The "C" can stand for anything you like.
Just make a card or project using one of Mo's wonderful images and make sure it includes something that starts with 'C"!

I've used Mo's sweet "New Baby" on my card. It's also available with just the little girl peeking into the bassinet. There are actually three things that qualify this card for the challenge....the children, the carnations, and their curiosity about the new baby!

I've used Mo's "Fall Fairy Jensen" on my card. Isn't he adorable?!
I love coloring pumpkins...probably because orange is one of my favorite colors!
I composed a short poem for the inside. I'm no Robert Frost, but here it is!

"Fall is the nicest of seasons
For so many reasons.
The colorful leaves are a pleasure to view,
But the best reason of all,
We get to celebrate YOU!
Happy Birthday!"

 Don't say I didn't warn you! LOL!
