Mo's Challeng #187

Summer's Coming!

That's the theme for Mo's Challenge this week!
For our family, summer means that the horse show season is in full swing, with shows almost every weekend.
Our granddaughter just turned 10 years old, and she's been riding since she was three!
I made this card for her birthday.

She owns a 6 year old Morgan named Whiteout who's 16 hands and a beautiful animal! The two just love each other, and this image so reminds me of them.

Mo's Images

Cards, Cards, Cards!

I had some time to play the other day and colored up several of Mo's wonderful images!
Here are a few cards I made.

I made this card for one of our daughters-in-law whose birthday got by me somehow!
I really love that rose paper!

This is a sympathy card for a cousin. This is such a pretty image!
I realized when I saw the photo that two pearls were missing! I fixed it, though.
The subtle shine of the Spica pen I used to highlight the wings and dress don't show
in the photo, but it's very pretty IRL!

Tools: Copics, Spica pen, Tacky Tape

Papers: SU! Cool Caribbean, Neenah white, SU! and Wild Asparagus DP

Embellishments: Pearl cabochons, SU! Rose trim

I enjoyed making these, and can't wait until school's out and I have plenty of time to play!

Thanks for looking!

Mo's Challenge #185

Let's Hear It For the Red, White, and Blue!

Tine, who is from Norway, is our hostess, and she's asked us to use red, white, and blue (the colors of her country's flag) in our cards and projects this week.

This card was made as an invitation to a retirement party for two colleagues who are retiring this year.
I just love this party girl! She looks like she knows how to have fun!

Mo's Challenge #184

CAS
(Clean and Simple)

That's the  theme for Mo's Challenge that our hostess, Anja, has for us this week.
I have a hard time making cards with a lot of stuff on them, but the same is true for 'clean and simple' cards!
I guess I'm more a 'middle of the road' card maker! I love both styles, but just can't seem to pull either off to my satisfaction. I envy designers who create beautiful cards on either end of the spectrum!

*******************
This card uses "Big Present", and I paper-pieced the gift using digital paper. When using digital paper, there's little to no waste. I just print the image as usual, print a piece of digital paper that's big enough to cover the desired area, then print the image over it. It's a nice technique to use when you have a large area that you'd rather not have to color.

Images: "Big Present" from Mo's Digital Pencil, Stamped sentiment from PrintWorks

Tools: Copics, White gel pen, MS Hydrangea punch, SU! Mambo Melon ink pad, Mounting tape, Glue Dots

Paper: SU! Mambo Melon CS, Neenah white, Digital DPs

Embellishments: Tiny pearl cabochons

Please join us for this week's Mo's Challenge! Just use at least one of Mo's fabulous images on your card or project for a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate for Mo's Digital Pencil!

We'll be looking for you!

Mo's Challenge # 183

Anything Goes!

You know that these are my favorite type of Mo's Challenge...no challenge at all!
I love being afforded the freedom to do anything I want!
This week I have a card I made for our youngest granddaughter's first birthday.
She has been the joy of our lives for twelve months now. Where does the time go?

I've used Mo's "1st Birthday Girl", of course! This is such an adorable image and it's so much fun to color! It's also available as a boy, and both boy and girl are available with curly hair.

Images: "1st Birthday Girl" From Mo's Digital Pencil, Stamped sentiment

Tools: Copics, Nellie Snellen Rose Leaf embossing punch set, MS Lace border punch, SU! Oval punch, Fine black marker

Papers: SU! Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Certainly Celery, Garden Green, Neenah White, The paper Studio and Digital DP

Embellishments: Roses from WOC, Pearl Cabochons, Grosgrain ribbon

I hope you'll join us in Mo's Challenge this week for a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate to Mo's Digital Pencil! We'll be waiting for you!

See you there!
