Mo's Challenge #203

Boys, Boys, Boys!

Anja is our hostess for Mo's Challenge this week. She's asked that we make cards and projects using Mo's cute images of boys!

I've used one of her newer images, " Victory!" to make a birthday card for one of our sons. The football and field were free downloads I found on Google Images.

(Sorry the photo isn't too clear. I didn't realize it was a fuzzy until after it was on its way to the birthday boy!)

Inside: "Ready to tackle another year? Happy Birthday!"

Images: "Victory!" from Mo's Digital Pencil, Computer-generated sentiment

Tools: Copics, White gel pen, Glue dots

Papers: SU! Real Red and Garden Green, Neenah white

Embellishments: Baker's twine, Metal letters

I think making cards for boys is fun! Hope you do to!
Join us in Mo's Challenge for a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate to Mo's Digital Pencil.

Flowers

Flowers Everywhere!

I have two cards today. One is for a wedding and the second is another sympathy card.

This is a wedding card for an older couple, so the usual bride and groom didn't seem right.
I made all the flowers and leaves using a combination of punches and dies from Martha Stewart, Marianne, Cheery Lynn, and Nellie Snellen. The oval dies and Anna Griffen embossing folder are from Spellbinders. The stamped sentiment is from SU! The colored card stock is SU!, and the white is PTI, and Neenah.
It's been embellished with tiny pearls, brads, and satin ribbon.

This is the last sympathy card I'll be making for awhile....at least I hope so!
I have no idea where the poppy came from, but the embossing folder is Anna Griffen from Spellbinders. The oval die is also from Spellbinders. The corner dies are Cheery Lynn. It's been embellished with satin ribbon, a pearl bead and flower charm.

Have a great day!

Roses!

Just Peachy!

I love coloring flowers! This card was made for the wedding of an older couple.

I have no idea from whom I bought this image...nothing in the file name gives me any clue! I love it, though! It's actually a merge of two identical images. The rose leaf die and pretty frame die is from Spellbinders.  . The Anna Griffen embossing folder is theirs, also.
The card stock is SU! Guava, Pirouette Pink, and Garden Green, and the white is from PTI.
I've embellished it with satin ribbon, a bead, and an engraved heart charm.

I've entered this in the color challenge on The Ribbon Girl blog. We are to use peach or orange. The card did not photograph true to color. It is actually between peach and orange.

Thanks for looking!

Sympathy Cards

A Season for Everything

I don't enjoy making sympathy cards, but death is, unfortunately, as much a part of life as birth. I've had  to make a couple for our personal use for friends and distant relatives recently, and the florist who sells my cards has asked for some.

********************
This card uses a vintage image from Two for Tuesday and a digital sentiment. The embossing was done with an Anna Griffen embossing folder, and the leaves were made with
Nellie Snellens' Embossing Leaf punch set.

This second card uses a digital image from a shop that is no longer in business and another digital sentiment.
I do love coloring flowers!

This image of violets on this card is from the same shop. The sentiment is from a SU! stamp set.
The butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart. The embossing folder and dies are from Spellbinders

This card uses a digital image of a gladiola stalk, one of my favorite flowers. Unfortunately, I have no idea where I bought this one! I wish artists or shops would include their name in the file names of the images. I often don't remember to do that when I purchase a digi.
The embossing folder is an Anna Griffen, the die is from Marianne (I cut two and used all of one and part of the second to frame the image.), and the beautiful lace is available from WOC.

I think this is my favorite!

That's it for now. I have a few more images colored for sympathy cards, but I need to take a break!
