our favorite card (or cards) from the past year.

Christmas Cards!

I Think I'm Done!

I think this is the last of my Christmas cards for this year! I love making them, though,
so I may make a few more just for fun!

The first three are done with images from Mo's Digital Pencil.

Isn't this little Elf adorable? I just love her!
I was going to paper-piece the ornament, but messed up when I tried to print the image on the digital DP. All was not lost," as I decided to cut out the ball using an Xacto knife and mount the DP behind it. Before I did, I coated the paper with VersaMark and clear embossing powder to make it shiny.

Tools: Copics, MS  Lace border punch and Snowflake punch, Real Red stamp pad, VersaMark pad, Clear embossing powder

Papers: SU! Real Red, Green Galore, Neenah white, PTI White, Digital DP

Embellishments: Satin ribbon, Pearl cabochons

Here's another elf from Mo with a completely different look, but just as cute!

Images: "North Pole Employee" from Mo's Digital Pencil, Digital sentiment

Tools: Copics, MS Snowflake border punch and Branch Punch, Tacky tape

Papers: SU! Real Red, Garden Green, Neenah white, PTI white, Basic Grey DP

Embellishments: Candy canes, Tiny Brads, Square brad, Grosgrain ribbon

I think this is my favorite! The sentiment came from my facebook teamie, Jo Ann Sinclair.
She comes up with such clever sayings for images.

Inside: Hope you're stirring up some holiday fun, too!

Papers: SU! Real Red and Kiwi Kiss, Neenah white, Digital DP

Embellishments: Grosgrain ribbon, Button brad

I really like traditional Christmas colors for cards. I'm never satisfied with cards I make
 that use unusual colors.
This is a public domain image of a bookplate. The toys were difficult to color because it was hard to distinguish what some of them were!
I layered several ribbons of differing widths for the trim.

Tools: Cuttlebug with embossing folders, MS Snowflake border punch,
Mounting tape, Glue dots

papers: SU! Real Red, Garden Green, Neenah white, PTI white

Embellishments: Ribbons

++++++++++++++++++++++++

Here's an example of the non-traditional colors I mentioned! I liked the image, but couldn't get past the colors I used! Would have liked him better as a red-suited Santa!

Images: "Starry Night Santa" from Rick St. Dennis, SU! Stamped greeting

Tools: Copics, White gel pen, Cuttlebug with embossing folder and Marianne die, Star punch, mounting tape, Tacky tape, Oval punches, Blue ink pad

Papers: Neenah white, PTI white, Bazzill blue

Embellishments: Pearl sprays, Satin ribbon

I do love making Christmas cards and  love sharing them with family and friends!

Thanks for looking!

Mo's Challenge #165

"D" is For.......

I love these alphabet challenges, don't you? It's fun to think of things that begin with the given letter and work them into a card or project.
I have several cards that fit the theme for this Mo's Challenge this week.

My first card uses Mo's image, "Darn It!" I printed and colored digital images of thread and scissors to use as embellishments for this fun image.

Rick St. Dennis Glitter Challenge

All White Card

Well, mostly white!
This is my first post for Rick St. Dennis' new Glitter Challenge Blog although I've been designing for him for about two years! He actually has started two challenge blogs in one...the one I belong to is called "Glitter" and the other is called "Sparkle." The two teams take turns hosting the challenge.

I have always used glue to apply glitter, but this time I used white acrylic paint. I like it much better, as it's easy to apply and dries so quickly!

This card uses one of his cute Santa images. He also has images of Mrs. Santa in several poses.

Images: "Santa With Pipe" from Rick St.Dennis, Computer-generated sentiment

Tools: Copics, White gel pen, Cuttlebug with Embossing folder and Snowflake dies, White acrylic paint

Embellishments: Sheer white ribbon, Glitter, Flower soft, Pearl Dew Drops

Here are a few more cards using Rick's images. All are available in his Etsy Shop except for the teddy bear jester, which is in rubber  from I Brake For Stamps

Mo's Challenge # 164

Anything Goes!

That's the theme for Mo'sChallenge this week.
Don't you just love a challenge where you can do anything you want!
It's great to stretch yourself, but sometimes it's nice to just relax and have fun!

I love this little girl! She is available as a single image or in a set of four little pouty tots. Her attitude is one that most mothers have experienced
on more than one occasion.
I can't take credit for the clever sentiment...it was the brainchild of one of my teammates on Mo's facebook page, Jo Ann Sinclair. She comes up with such original sentiments to go with Mo's images!

Inside: "Hope Santa is good to you no matter what! Merry Christmas!"

Images: "Two Jill" from Mo's Digital Pencil, Computer-generated sentiment

Tools: Copics, White gel pen, Cuttlebug with embossing folder and Quickcutz flourish dies, Glue dots

Papers: SU! garden Green, Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Neenah white, Basic Grey DP

Embellishments: Grosgrain ribbon, Jewel cabochons, Pointsettia flower
