Mo's Challenge #218

Lots of Layers!

That's Mo's Challenge for this week, and Franz is our hostess!
Most of my cards have at least five layers, so this was a pretty easy challenge for me! This one has seven layers. I love this cute little squirrel delivering his bag of acorns....he's such fun to color! This was made for a faculty member who gifted me with a box of gourmet cashews at Christmas. Yummy!

Tools: Copics, White gel pen, Sewing machine, Black fine marker

Mo's Challenge #217

Something New!

Hello! Anja, our hostess for this week, has a new Mo's Challenge for you...use something new! It could be a new image, technique, tool or what have you.

I've used an image that's new to me. I think it's the perfect image for a 'Thank You' card. The inside says, "Thanks for the lift!" I loved coloring the balloon and making the flowers to match the ones on the DP!
I sent this to my co-workers at school to thank them for the beautiful bouquet they sent while I was in the hospital recently.

Images: "Going Up" from Mo's Digital Pencil, Sentiment stamp from SU!

Tools: Copics, White gel pen, Sewing machine, Nellie Snellen and MS Punches for the flowers and tag, Dimensional dots, Mounting tape

Papers: SU! Black, Guava, Daffodil, Celery, and Turquoise CS, Neenah white

Embellishments: Grosgrain ribbon, Brads, Tiny pearl cabochons

It's your turn! Use something new to create a card or project using at least one of Mo's wonderful images, then enter Mo's Challenge for a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate to Mo's Digital Pencil.

Thanks for dropping by!

Mo's Challenge # 216

Flowers!

This week Amanda is our hostess, and she wants us to use flowers on our projects for Mo's Challenge. Isn't that easy? I have a huge stash of flowers but always seem to find some new ones that I just 'have to have'!

This is the first time I've used this adorable little butterfly fairy, but it won't be the last! She was a joy to color!

Mo's Challenge # 215

Anything Goes!

Happy New Year to all!
I'm back after a three week absence, and just in time for my favorite Mo's Challenge theme...no Challenge at all!
I've had some health issues that have kept me from crafting. I had an emergency appendectomy for a perforated appendix. It wasn't fun, but I'm healed now and feeling much better. It's good to be back to coloring and making cards again!

Isn't this little guy cute? With all the cold, snow, and ice recently I needed a little reminder of warmer times!

Tools: Copics, White gel pen, Memory Box die, Sewing machine

Papers: SU! Yellow and Blue CS, Basic Grey DP

Embellishments: Seashell charms

We had such a wonderful response for last week's 'Favorite Mo Card of 2013" Challenge, and we'd love to keep up the momentum! Please join us in Mo's Challenge with a creation using at least one of Mo's images for a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate to Mo's Digital Pencil.

Hope to see your work!
Thanks for stopping in!

Mo's Challenge #212

"I" is for ............

That's the theme for Mo's Challenge this week! My card is "I" for infant, and I've used one of Mo's sweet little angel babies to make a Christmas card. I used Frantage chunky embossing powder for the first time. I like it, but it certainly is messy! I heated it from below, but it still blew all over the place no matter how careful I was!

I'm so very behind in my making my Christmas cards this year that I don't think there's time enough left for me to get them done. I keep saying I'll work on them on the weekends, but I never seem to be motivated! By the time I get the spirit, it will be 2014!

Tools: Copics, Hanging Snowflake die from Memory Box, Snowflake, Scalloped circle, and Plain circle dies from Shapeabilities, MS Snowflake punches, Metallic gold pen, Spica pen, Shabby White Frantage embossing powder, Heat gun, Tacky Tape, Glue dots

Papers: Neenah smooth white, PTI White, Gold metallic CS

Embellishments: Dew Drops

Please join us this week and enter your card or project using at least one of Mo's images. Remember the theme, "I" is for.....! Check out the rest of the Design Team's creations for more inspiration.

So glad you dropped by!

Mo's Challenge #211

Anything But a Card!

Cathy is our hostess this week, and she's asked us to make "Anything But a Card"
for Mo's Challenge this week.

It's hard for me to shop due to my disability, so every year at Christmas I give cash to our kids, their spouses, and our grandchildren. It's easy for me, and they love it because they can take advantage of all the after Christmas sales!

Each year I try to come up with a new way to present the money to make it a bit more special. This year I'm making these boxes which will hang on the tree on Christmas morning. I'll make about a dozen or more, and each will be different.

I couldn't get a good photo for some reason...the colors are not true-to-life. He really doesn't look jaundiced as he does here! LOL!

This image is one of three little gift-giving guys which can be bought singly or as a set. There is a girl version, also!

I found the box tutorial on SCS. You can make this into a gift card holder, too!
It measures 3 by 5 inches.

Here's a side view that shows the tab I added for ease in opening.

Tools: Copics, Spica pens, White gel pen, ScorPal, Poinsettia dies, MS Branch punch, Tacky tape

Papers: SU! Green Galore, Neenah white, PTI white, Gingham DP

Embellishments: Narrow ribbon, Tiny brads

Please join us in Mo's Challenge this week with your "Anything But a Card' creation using at least one of Mo's images. You just might win a $5.00 gift certificate to Mo's Digital Pencil!

I always love it when you stop by!

Mo's Challenge #209

Anything Goes With Mo!

Another fantastic "Anything Goes" Challenge from Mo's Digital Challenge! I love to be able to do whatever I want with no constraints! I need to get a start on Christmas cards for my personal use and to supply the florist who sells my cards. I'm really going to have to step it up if I want to make enough!
I'm so excited because Mo has added some adorable, brand  new Christmas\Winter images to her shop just in time to inspire me!

This one uses Mo's "Herald Harry." I think it's an adorable image, and so perfect for Christmas cards!

Images: "Herald Harry" from Mo's Digital Pencil, Stamped sentiment by SU!

Tools: Copics, Spica, pens, Cuttlebug with Memory box and Spellbinders dies and Anna Griffin embossing folder, Oval punches, Tacky Tape

Papers: Neenah white, Paper Trey Ink white, Gold metallic CS

Embellishments: Tiny pearl cabochons

(My grandson wants me to credit him with holding the Ott light while I took the picture! Thanks, Caleb!)

Please join us in this week's Mo's Challenge and share your card or project using at least one of Mo's fantastic images! You just might be lucky and be chosen to win a $5.00 gift certificate to her shop!
